Latvijas zaļais punkts is part of the Eco Baltia group, which is mainly active in environmental management and waste recycling, municipal and sorted waste management, packaging waste management, construction and bulky waste management, as well as cleaning and maintenance of roads, streets and territories in the Baltics.
Eko osta Ltd is engaged in waste management and recycling, collection, transportation, treatment and recycling of oil-contaminated waters, environmental remediation and quality monitoring. The company also manages ship-generated waste.

The competition monitors concluded that the merger would not result in a significant change in the market structure, lessen competition, or create or strengthen a dominant position in the abovementioned markets in Latvia, and therefore the merger is permissible.
