Modest rise in Latvian real estate prices

Provisional data published by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) September 13 show that, compared to the 2nd quarter of 2023, in the 2nd quarter of 2024 prices of dwellings in Latvia rose by 1.1 %. 

Prices of new dwellings increased by 11.4 %, but the average price level of existing dwellings reduced by 2.0 %.

Compared to the 1st quarter of 2024, in the 2nd quarter of 2024 prices of dwellings went up by 2.3 %. Prices of new dwellings increased by 8.6 %, and prices of existing dwellings – by 0.6 %.

Compared to the baseline year of 2015, in the 2nd quarter of 2024 prices of dwellings were 97.6 % higher. Prices of new dwellings increased by 114.6 % (2,1 times), but of existing dwellings – by 92.4 %.
