This is a significant drop from the initially planned rates. Distribution rates were at first planned to rise by 75%, whereas transmission rates - by 111%.
Companies' representatives said the reduction of costs was possible via a variety of political solutions and the prices of electricity on the global market, as well as by purchasing capacity reserves.
The tariff projects specified by the ST and AST have been submitted to the Public Service Regulator Commission (SPRK).
The new transmission and distribution rates are scheduled to enter into force on July 1, 2023.
