Latvian Postal Service head to step down

Beāte Krauze-Čebotare, Chairperson of the Board of SJSC Latvijas Pasts (Latvian Postal Service), will leave her position as she has accepted a job offer in another company outside the public sector, representatives of Latvijas pasts said.

Krauze-Čebotare's last day in office will be Wednesday, July 31.

Andris Puriņš, a member of the board of Latvijas Pasts, will temporarily assume the duties of the chairman of the board, and his mandate will be valid until the board of Latvijas Pasts approves the chairman of the board based on the results of the open competition, which is currently underway.

The members of the Board Jānis Kūliņš and Pēteris Lauriņš also continue to serve on the Board of Latvijas Pasts.

Latvijas Pasts' turnover last year was EUR 108.269 million, which is 8.3% more than in 2022, while the company's profit decreased 4.1 times to EUR 538 646. Latvijas Pasts is a wholly state-owned company with approximately 2,300 employees.
