Latvian national airline airBaltic on Wednesday released a promotional video featuring Chief Executive Officer Martin Gauss visiting the production facility of Canada's Bombardier aircraft company to see the company's order of CS300 planes being made.

The video posted to Bombardier's YouTube channel sees Gauss touring the facility to an upbeat soundtrack and describing the factory as the most modern he has ever seen.

"It's a perfect aircraft," says Gauss, who is himself a qualified pilot, describing himself as "very excited" and giving a thumbs-up to the camera.

airBaltic will be the first airline in the world to operate the new CS300 planes when they have been built. airBaltic has 13 CS300 aircraft on firm order and retains options for seven CS300 aircraft.

First deliveries are expected in the second half of 2016.

Being the first customer means airBaltic has had a certain amount of input into the aircraft's development, Gauss explains.
