Latvian flag carrier airBaltic said Wednesday it was launching a promotion with online payment company PayPal.

The campaign, running until the end of April means customers who decide to book a flight and pay with PayPal will not have to pay airBaltic's usual transaction fees.

Christophe Viatte, Chief Commercial Officer of airBaltic said the move would: “improve our service by opening up a new payment option that our customers prefer.”

The special offer will be available for all of airBaltic's 60 destinations worldwide.

There is no minimum purchase price or special code for customers - the only requirement is to buy tickets using PayPal.

Meanwhile the airline claims its current 'SeatSale' offers, which run until April 15 are "airBaltic’s biggest sales campaign to date."

airBaltic was established in 1995. Its primary shareholder is the Latvian state, which holds 99.8% of the company.

The airBaltic fleet consists of 25 aircraft – 13 Boeing 737 and 12 Bombardier Q400s.
