The Corruption Prevention Bureau has concluded that, in several cases, the political parties did not indicate all their pre-election revenues and expenditures, received unauthorized donations from legal entities, and did not observe restrictions on election campaigns.
Income and expenditure statements of eight political parties - Union of Greens and Farmers, Harmony, KPV LV, New Unity, New Conservative Party, For Development/For, National Alliance, and Action Party - did not contain full information about their finances and failed to report a total of €79,813 in their statements.
Furthermore, three political parties - Harmony, New Unity and For Development/For - received €7,551 in illegal donations from various legal entities.
For these violations, the Corruption Prevention Bureau has fined ten political parties for a total amount of €3,970.
