In January-June, compared to the first six months of 2019, exports in Latvia and in Denmark decreased by 4%, making these the smallest falls in exports in the EU.
A decline was recorded in all EU Member States, with the exception of Ireland, where exports increased by 5%.
The steepest decline in exports in January-June was in Luxembourg (-29%), France (-22%), Portugal (-20%), Romania and Finland (both countries -18%), Portugal and Slovakia (both countries -17%), Spain (-16%) and Italy (-15%). In Estonia exports have fallen by 9% and in Lithuania by 8%.
In January-June, the volume of imports decreased in all EU Member States compared to the corresponding period of 2019, while the steepest drop was in Malta (-27%), Luxembourg (-25%), Spain (-19%), Italy and France (both countries -17%), Slovakia (-16%) and Greece (-15%). Latvia and Estonia had a 12% drop and a 10% in Lithuania.
