Turnover of retail trade in food products grew by 0.9%. Retail trade in non-food products (except for retail sale of automotive fuel) increased by 22.7 %, but turnover of retail sale of automotive fuel – reduced by 0.3 %.
As compared to February 2021, the most significant turnover growth was registered in retail sale of clothing, footwear and leather goods (2.4 times), retail sale in non-specialised stores selling mainly non-food products (of 41.8 %) and retail sale of cultural and recreation goods (40.9 %). A turnover drop was registered in retail sale of electrical household appliances in specialised stores (of 11.7 %), retail sale via mail order houses or via Internet (7.7 %) and retail sale of information and communication equipment in specialised stores (5.5 %).
Total retail trade turnover at current prices increased by 20.2 % (not taking into account the calendar influence).
Compared to January, the total turnover of retail trade enterprises in February 2022 fell by 0.1 %, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices. Turnover of retail trade in food products declined by 0.2 %. Retail trade in non-food products (except for retail sale of automotive fuel) increased by 0.6 %, but turnover of retail sale of automotive fuel – reduced by 1.3 %.
