This puts the projected growth rate for this year at 0.5% and 0.1% for 2018.
The ministry said the increase is propelled by the influx of EU funds, a stable geopolitical situation and strong growth in the global and European economy proving good for Latvia's exports.
It is forecast that in the next few years the role of exports and share capital investment is to increase in comparison to private spending.
