A decrease of 2.2% was seen in manufacture, mining and quarrying increased by 0.7%, while the electricity and gas supply - rose by 2.3%, reported the Central Statistical Bureau (CSP) on Monday.
Compared to the same period last year, the industrial production volume in June 2015 grew by 4.2%, of which in mining and quarrying – by 15.6% and in manufacture – by 4.4%, while electricity and gas supply witnessed a decrease of 0.3%.
Compared to the 1st quarter of 2015 industrial production output in the 2nd quarter of 2015 increased by 4.2%, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices. Of which in manufacturing - by 2.6%, in mining and quarrying – by 2.5%, and in electricity and gas supply - by 9.9%.
Compared to corresponding quarter of the previous year, in the 2nd quarter of 2015 industrial production output grew by 5.7%, according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices. Of which in manufacturing - by 6.2%, in mining and quarrying – by 12% and in electricity and gas supply - by 2%.
As compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, industrial production output (according to calendar adjusted data) in the 1st half of 2015 increased by 3.7%. Of which in manufacture – by 5.3% and mining and quarrying – by 11.3%, but in electricity and gas supply there was a reduction of 4.3%. In the six months of the year the largest increase in manufacture was in the metalworking sector.
Growth was also recorded in manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products – of 57.4%, in manufacture of furniture – of 14% and in manufacture of wood and of products of wood - of 6.6%. In turn, a production drop was observed in manufacture of wearing apparel - of 17.6%, in manufacture of textiles - of 15.1%, in manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products - of 8.1%, and in manufacture of food products - of 6%.
