Latvia GDP growth at 2.6%

According to flash estimates by the Central Statistics Office (CSP), Latvia's GDP growth for the second quarter has grown by 2.6% (seasonally adjusted) in comparison with the corresponding period last year.

In comparison with the first quarter of 2015, the seasonally adjusted GDP growth was 1.2%.

The GDP increase was driven by growth in production sector, which grew 2% and services, which grew 3%, while value added in trade has grown by 4%.

A detailed statement with precise GDP figures about the second quarter of 2015 will be published on August 31.
