Retail trade recovered slightly in October

Data released November 27 by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) show that, compared to October 2019, in October 2020 total retail trade turnover rose by 6.4 %. 

Turnover of retail trade in food products grew by 7.2 %. Retail trade in non-food products (except for retail sale of automotive fuel) increased by 2.2 %, and turnover of retail sale of automotive fuel – by 16.4 %.

Compared to September, in October 2020, the total turnover of retail trade enterprises rose by 0.9 %, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices. Turnover of retail trade in food products grew by 1.6 %. Retail trade in non-food products (except for retail sale of automotive fuel) increased by 0.2 %.

Compared to September, in October 2020 the total retail trade turnover at current prices (not taking into account seasonality) increased by 1.8 %.
