Retail turnover up in November

Compared to October the total retail trade turnover in November 2014 rose by 1.3%, according to data released Monday by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB). 

Retail trade in food products declined by 0.3%, while turnover of non-food products rose by 2.3%.

Compared to October, the total retail trade turnover at current prices, not taking into account seasonality, in November decreased by 6.7%.

A year ago - in November 2013, compared to October 2013 - turnover declined by 5.5%.

Compared to November 2013, the total retail trade turnover in November 2014 increased by 4.7%, according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices.

Rises in the food commodity group accounted for 0.3%. Turnover of non-food commodities increased by 7.5%.
