Riga to reduce heating tariff by 11%

On Monday, June 29, Riga Heat submitted an 11% reduction in the thermal energy tariff to the Public Utilities Commission (SPRK), the company informed the media in a statement on June 30.

The reduction of the thermal energy tariff in Riga is already taking place for the third time this year and is based on a reduction in prices of purchased thermal energy and fuel.

The total reduction in the thermal energy tariff, after approval of this one, would reach 22% this year.

It is planned that the new thermal energy tariff in Riga will be EUR 40,46 per megawatt hour without value added tax and will enter into force on August 1 2020.
