Latvia's tax service has erroneously informed more than 6,000 pensioners that they've become tax debtors after the State Social Insurance Agency (VSAA) submitted faulty data to the service.
That's what VSAA told the press March 19.
The error affected the data of pensioners whose earnings had been upped in 2018, and the agency is working to fix the problem and submit correct data to the tax service.
VSAA stresses that pensioners should contact the agency if there's anything unclear over their income declaration for last year.
