77% of surveyed Internet shoppers in Latvia check and compare the price of goods before buying, according to a survey by the internet store 220.lv and Norstat, LETA reported on September 25.

More than half or 56% of customers always check and compare prices in several Internet resources, while 21% indicated that prices are compared only between their favorite Internet shop. The survey concludes that 7% of respondents do not compare prices at all.

Most often, prices are checked and compared by people aged between 30 and 59, where on average 60% always check prices.

Different trends are also observed in neighboring countries. The survey shows that in Lithuania 82% always check and compare prices on the Internet, while in Estonia it is done by 74% of respondents.

The survey was conducted in September 2022 with the participation of 1,000 economically active residents aged 18 to 74.
