By midday traffic was restored.
Vivi explained to Latvian Television that the disruption of train traffic this morning was not due to snow. A train should have been restarted, but due to human error it failed to do so correctly, thus blocking all traffic.
Traffic has now been fully restored.
The train Jelgava (7:46) - Riga (8:33) was canceled for technical reasons, as well as Riga (7:44)-Jelgava (8:29), Jelgava (8:46)-Riga (9:33).
The Jelgava (7:03)-Riga (7:48) train, on the other hand, stood at Olaine station waiting for an oncoming train, with an estimated delay of about one hour.
Also, the train Jelgava (619) - Riga (7:04) is standing at Olaine station for the same reason, with an expected delay of about 90 minutes.
Previously, the train Riga (6:14)-Jelgava (7:01) on the Baloži-Jelgava section was canceled, while the train Riga (7:19)-Jelgava (8:04) runs with all stops from Baloži station.
