By the end of April, 22 Ukrainian civilians were registered as taxi drivers, whereas Ukrainian citizens were transported 72,011 times by regional buses and trains according to the Road Transport Administration.

A total of 32,596 trips were on regional bus routes and 39,415 on trains.

The government's decision stipulates that as of March 12 this year, Ukrainian citizens who have arrived in Latvia while fleeing the war can travel free of charge in regional public transport.

Since 12 March, changes have been made in the field of commercial passenger transport by car, including taxis, enabling Ukrainians to register as drivers without requiring knowledge of the official language.
