Additional airBaltic flight from Frankfurt to Latvia

On May 14, the Latvian national airline airBaltic will carry out an additional round-trip flight from Frankfurt to Riga.

The flight was requested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and received permission from the Ministry of Transport.

Tickets can be booked by calling +371 67207771. The airline notes that passengers will be required to provide their passport information when making telephone reservations. If travelling from Riga, there must be a permit to enter Germany. It is necessary to consult the responsible authorities to acquire travel rights, said airBaltic.

All flight passengers with Covid-19 symptoms must turn to medics in the arrival sector C at the Riga International Airport before receiving their luggage. Passengers arriving from areas affected by the virus must comply with mandatory 14-day self-isolation.

CONTEXT:

During the state of emergency to limit the spread of Covid-19 in Latvia, international passenger transport has been suspended. 

In the second half of March, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized 21 repatriation flights with 2276 people returning to Latvia. Eight such flights were scheduled for April and May.
