First flights to and from London had hundreds of passengers

Take note – story published 3 years ago

On January 2, flights from Rīga to London were renewed after being banned since December 21.

Rīga International Airport spokeswoman Laura Kulakova told Latvian Radio January 2 that on Saturday, 110 passengers arrived in Rīga from London, while 263 passengers travelled from Rīga to London.

Given the spread of new coronavirus strain in the United Kingdom, persons arriving in Latvia from the UK will have to carry out Covid-19 tests at the airport.

These tests will be carried out on State budget funds. In the event that a person can certify that they have had Covid-19 already or a test has been done within 72 hours before flying, they do not have to do the test at the airport.
