Just four European countries now on Latvia's travel 'green list'

Take note – story published 2 years ago

The updated list of epidemiological requirements for arrivals into Latvia from other countries was published on September 24 and includes the great majority of European countries on the list of those deemed to have a "high public health threat", including Baltic neighbors Estonia and Lithuania which now have some of the highest Covid infection rates in Europe.

The classification system rates travel to each country as low (green), high (yellow), or very high risk (red). No countries have yet been ranked as very high risk.

People who have not been vaccinated or who have not contracted and recovered from Covid-19 may ignore self-isolation when entering Latvia from Czechia, Hungary, Poland and the Vatican.

The rest of Europe is on the "yellow list" of countries are those in which the 14-day cumulative number of COVID-19 cases per 100,000 inhabitants exceeds 75.
