Latvian Post improves parcel machine network

Latvian Post Service (LP) has increased the capacity of parcel machine network by 15%, representative Gundega Vārpa sasid on June 2.

Existing parcel machines were replaced by newer and more modern ones, and some were placed anew.

In the last three months, demand for postal services increased on average by 40%, and the number of forwarded consignments from postal departments to machines has also increased. The project for upgrading the network is still ongoing.

By upgrading and developing the network of parcel machines, LP has replaced 13 machines throughout the country, as well as installed two new terminals in Riga: shopping mall "Galerija Centrs" on Audēju Street 16, and shopping centre "Maxima" on Biķernieku Street 143.

With the increased demand, LP has introduced a storage time of three days to avoid accumulation.
