CEO and Chairman Martin Gauss said:
We at @airBaltic made a decision to leave the Russian market. Following the suspension of flights earlier, we have now cancelled all future flights to and from Russian destinations. #StandWithUkraine️

The company has already suspended all flights to and from Russian destinations until the end of May in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the closing of a large proportion of international airspace to Russian carriers.
Now that decision has been extended, if not permanently, then indefinitely. A similarly worded company press release said the move would be "until further notice".
It marks a notable turnaround in strategy for the company which, when under previous management more than a decade ago, treating Russian destinations as its most important routes and the key to growth. Under Gauss however, the destination list and business model have become much more diverse.
