Lithuanian firm to invest €15m in hotel near Rīga Airport

DG21, a subsidiary of the Lithuanian aircraft leasing company AviaAM Leasing, plans investing €15 million into building a four-star hotel by the Rīga International Airport just outside Rīga.

The hotel, which would have 200 rooms, is to be unveiled in 2021, the company told the press.

AviaM Leasing is owned indirectly by Lithuanian business tycoon Gediminas Žiemelis.

Among other things, Žiemelis likewise has a controlling stake in Avia Solutions Group, an aviation holding company, as well as the pharmacy group Pharnasanta Group, transit company Sky Gates, tax-free retailer Globus Distribution, as well as Skycop, a company that helps travelers reclaim compensations from airlines.
