This will create competition for the mobile “Bolt” app, which is currently the only one providing this kind of service in Latvia, said Zane Plone, representative of the Road Transport Directorate.
At the moment, the Road Transport Administration does not have a known date from which passengers will be offered services from Dispocars.
In Riga, two companies, Yandex and Bolt, offered both taxi and courier services via mobile app by March of this year. On March 23, the Road Transport Directorate blocked the operation of the mobile app Yandex Go, so Bolt remained the only one.
