As scheduled flights resume, COVID-19 tests will no longer be carried out on-site at the airport and port of Riga, said the Ministry of Health on May 18.

Arriving persons will be able to apply for tests in general order, by contacting their GP or by calling 8303. The changes take effect on Monday, May 18.

Until now, COVID-19 tests at the airport and port were provided  by the Emergency Medical Service in the event of repatriation flights. Now, scheduled flights partially resuming, it has been decided that persons would be able to apply for tests in general order when returning from abroad.

Ministry of Health stressed that persons returning from abroad must comply with a mandatory 14-day self-isolation, except when the person has only been travelling in the Baltic States.
