In November, when the winter flight schedule came into force, the number of passengers served at the airport exceeded 271.5 thousand, which is half of the number of passengers served in November 2019 and 4.4 times more than in November 2020.
The Airport handled 4428 flights in November, of which 3703 were passenger flights and 299 cargo flights, carrying 3331 tonnes of air cargo, which means an increase in cargo volume by 30% as compared to 2019 and by 40% as compared to 2020.
In the first 11 months of the year, the total volume of air cargo at Riga Airport exceeded 24.2 thousand tonnes, which is one-fifth more than in 2020, and only slightly lagging behind the volume of cargo handled in the first 11 months of 2019.
