Riga minibuses back on city streets again

Take note – story published 3 years ago

As of Monday, June 29, the express bus service is resumed in Riga, Latvian Radio reported on June 29.

In accordance with the decision of the temporary administration of the Riga City Council, there will no longer be any reductions of the fares previously provided by the local government.

The City Council has decided discounts will no longer be available in the buses. All the buses, regardless of whether they are orange or blue-painted – will all have a fixed fare of €1.15. This does not apply to disability discounts which are still in place.

The numbering of express bus routes has also been changed. All bus numbers that began with "two hundred" have been renamed to "three hundred" without changing routes or the following numeration.

Face covering rules remain in force in the express buses.
