Spain, Italy, Malta and the Vatican make Latvia's travel 'green list'

Take note – story published 2 years ago

The updated list of epidemiological requirements for arrivals into Latvia from other countries was published on October 29.

The overwhelming majority of European countries are now deemed to have a "high public health threat", including Baltic neighbors Estonia and Lithuania which now have some of the highest Covid infection rates in Europe, along with Latvia itself which has the higest infection rate of all.

The classification system rates travel to each country as low (green), high (yellow), or very high risk (red). No country has yet been ranked as very high risk.

Only four countries make the green list, and they are exactly the same four as last week: Italy, Spain, Malta, and the Vatican.

The rest of Europe is on the "yellow list" of countries are those in which the 14-day cumulative number of COVID-19 cases per 100,000 inhabitants exceeds 75.
