Summer safe travel campaign is on the way

Take note – story published 1 year ago

With restrictions imposed during the Covid-19 pandemic largely lifted, many people are eager to indulge their wanderlust again and travel as widely as possible.

The Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is urging travelers not to completely forget a few precautions; however, particularly when it comes to checking the validity of your and fellow travelers' travel documents, taking care of travel insurance and visas, as well as making sure your destination is a safe one.

With that in mind it is launching a new publicity campaign stressing the basics of safe travel. By June 4, eight thematic visuals and a short animated video (which you can see above) on tips for prudent travel and the potential risks of traveling will be distributed in the digital environment using the hashtag #CeļoApdomīgi (#TravelThoughtfully).

Information materials will be displayed at Riga Airport, Riga International Bus Station and passenger terminal, as well as on various social networking accounts.
