Tram route joins extremities of Riga

Take note – story published 6 years ago

A new tram route - tram line Number 1 - has started serving passengers from June 5. It joins the neighborhoods of Jugla and Imanta in a ride that lasts a little more than an hour.

In effect, the new tram line merges the route that was served by trams No. 4 and 6, both of which will remain in service but run less often.

In another alteration to the timetable, tram route No. 11, which links the upscale Mezaparks suburb with the city center, will now run all the way to Ausekļa st. near the harbor.
