Edited by Mārtiņš Kaprāns and Andis Kudors and published in book form, the research consists of separate analyses of major international news stories in 2016, including the UK's Brexit process, Russian actions in Syria and Ukraine, the Russian Olympic doping scandal and the NATO Warsaw summit.
LSM attended the launch event and asked Mārtiņš Kaprāns, researcher at the Institute of philosophy and sociology, University of Latvia, for some thoughts on the main conclusions of the research.
The Latvian and Russian versions of Delfi (the most popular news portal in Latvia), Latvian and Russian Tvnet, Rus Tvnet, Latvian newspaper-based portal LA.lv and Russian portal Vesti.lv were the sources under analysis.
