In order to ensure the strengthening of the capacity of public electronic media and to promote the creation of multimedia content, the government decided at its June 14 meeting to support a proposal from the Ministry of Culture (KM) to allocate 500,000 euros as a result of budget redistribution.

Funds worth 459,558 euros  will be invested in the implementation of a public procurement on Latvian Television (LTV), 13,842 euros in the implementation of a public procurement on Latvian Radio (LR), and 26,600 euros for the operation of the Public Electronic Media Council (SEPLP), including establishing a new quality management system for public media content and strengthening the ombudsman's work.

LSM is also part of Latvian public media, though it was not mentioned in the government's announcement of the funding allocation except in noting "the growth of the LSM Internet platform audience".
