"At the Media Academy, young people gain not only theoretical but also practical knowledge. Eighty percent of their practical skills will come from hearing stories and learning alongside Latvian Television personalities. I am pleasantly surprised and proud that there are such young people in Latvia - eager and curious to participate and to make a name for themselves in the world of media and television. This is not only an asset for Latvian Television, but for the whole society," says Sintija Leimane, Head of Training at the LTV Media Academy.
The LTV Media Academy training process will start on September 23 and continue until the beginning of May on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. Young people will learn skills in digital content production: planning, filming, interviewing, and video editing.
During the training, young people will also have the opportunity to get involved in LTV's day-to-day operations, for example by watching behind the scenes of different projects.
The LTV Media Academy will have mentors and special guests leading lectures and classes.
This season, LTV Media Academy graduates will share their experiences from last year and mentor the new participants.
