To mark 'Lāčplēsis Day' on November 11, Latvian Television wil be providing special live coverage of commemorative events.
That will include both coverage of a torchlight procession at 17:30 and a special news report at 18:00, which you can watch below.
At 12:55 there was a ceremonial changing of the guard at Rīga Castle, and at the Freedom Monument, where President Edgars Rinkēvičs addressed the crowd.
At 17:30 there was a torchlit procession.
At 18:00 there was a special news report.
And later still was coverage of a concert from Victory Park in Rīga that included this performance from Tautumeitas.
