President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid played host to LTV's cameras November 7, in an interview with journalist Gundars Rēders, conducted at Kadriorg Palace in Tallinn. It can be watched above.

The half-hour English-language interview is very wide ranging, including such topics as domestic violence, visiting Russian President Vladimir Putin, support for vulnerable members of society, plans for Estonia's co-ordination of the Nordic-Baltic 8 group next year, concepts of national and Baltic identity and much more.

"If you see someone from Belgium or Luxembourg or the Netherlands you don't tell them that you are 'Beneluxian'. Why should you tell Baltic people, or Nordic, for that matter. We each have our own identity," President Kaljulaid says.

Note: to reach the English-language interview you will have to first negotiate a few short advertisements and a very brief introduction in Latvian by Rēders.
