LSM announces the return of its English-subtitled series of documentary films entitled Latvian Code and selected in an annual contest held by Latvian Public Television (LTV). This year’s first winner to be featured is Aija Bley’s film of redemption titled Restart.

The protagonist of the film is both a mourning widow and expectant bride, hoping to begin a new, happy life. This is marred by past family conflicts of her own, but she does not give in to despair. She sets to clearing away the ruins, and does the best she can. “I have to stop blaming and find a solution,” she thinks, and takes action.
