In a statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry said an entry ban would apply to parliamentarians, public figures and journalists from the Baltic states, but didn't actually name them.
"This step was taken as a response to the active lobbying by the Baltic States on sanctions and other measures against Russia, interference in our internal affairs, inciting Russophobic sentiments," the statement said, tossing into the mix that the 144 individuals "are also involved in the barbaric campaign launched by the authorities of these states for the mass demolition of monuments to Soviet soldiers-liberators, the persecution of the Russian-speaking population, the rewriting of history, the glorification of Nazism and the criminal line being pursued to escalate the Ukrainian conflict and prop up the Kyiv regime with weapons."
In the unlikely event that anyone on the list wants to take a ski break in the Urals, they will find out if they are on the list at the border.
