Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže heads to Ireland

Latvia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže, continues her globe-trotting diplomacy September 11 and 12 with a visit to Ireland where she will will meet the Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defence, Micheál Martin, the Speaker of the House of Representatives at the Irish Parliament, Seán Ó Fearghaíl, and the Chief of Staff of the Irish Defence Forces, Seán Clancy.

The visit to the Emerald Isle comes straight after visits to Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Korea from September 2 to 10.

The agenda also covers topics high on the European Union agenda, including its enlargement process," said a release from the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the Latvian Embassy in Ireland, Braže will meet with members of Latvia's large diaspora community in Ireland, along with Zanda Grauze, the new Ambassador-at-Large for the diaspora.
