Baltic, Nordic foreign ministers express support for Moldova

Foreign ministers from the Baltic and Nordic countries arrived in Chişinău on Thursday, April 28, to express their support for Moldova's security, resilience, and integration in the European Union.

Moldova, which is in neighboring Ukraine, is feeling the pressure and threat of the war launched by Russia.

The foreign ministers of the Baltic, Nordic, and Moldova issued a joint declaration that praised Moldova for its ability to withstand pressure, inflation, the energy crisis, mass disinformation attempts, hybrid threats and not retreat from war condemnation, and broadly open the door to Ukrainian refugees.

Latvia is represented at the meeting by Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs.
