"During the meeting, both sides discussed Latvia-Poland cooperation, paying particular attention to security issues," said a release from the government press office.
Kučinskis reportedly said he "highly appreciated Poland's significant contribution to the Baltic security through its participation in the Canadian-led NATO Battlegroup in Latvia and its readiness to continue to participate in NATO's expanded presence in Latvia in coming years."
The Prime Ministers also noted the close cooperation between Poland and Latvia at the NATO Strategic Communications Center for Excellence, based in Rīga, and Poland's regular participation in patrolling Baltic airspace.
Morawiecki also visited his country's soldiers serving at Camp Adaži military base just outside Rīga on the occasion of Poland's armed forces day.
