A planned visit to Mariupol had to be postponed due to bad weather conditions, but the ministers visited a military hospital in Dnipro instead, where they were able to speak to Mariupol by video link.

Rinkēvičs used to occasion to vow that Latvia will continue to support Ukraine both bilaterally and via international organizations.
"Russia's aggression in the Kerch Strait and the blockade of the Sea of Azov are an unacceptable violation of international law. Russia must immediately and without preconditions release the arrested Ukrainian sailors and seized vessels and respect international commitments to guarantee unimpeded freedom of navigation in the Sea of Azov," Rinkēvičs said.
"Ukraine can rely upon the support of the Baltic states, Poland and other similar-thinking countries," he added, citing educational exchanges and humanitarian assistance as practical examples.
