Next year's Rīga local elections will have 158 polling stations

Riga City Council on Wednesday, November 20, approved the establishment of 158 polling stations for the next municipal elections, with more than usual located in shopping centers.

The number of polling stations will remain the same compared to this year's European Parliament elections, but the location of individual polling stations will change slightly.

For example, some polling stations will be located in shopping centers. New polling stations will be opened in the Olimpia, Dole, Akropole Rīga, Stockmann, Ozols, and Akropole Alfa shopping centers.

It will also be possible to vote in the shopping centers "Mols", "Galleria Rīga", "Origo", "Domina Shopping", "Sky & More", where polling stations were also located during the European Parliament elections.

Local elections in Latvia will take place next year on June 7.
