Gerhards the only minister who will not run in 13th Saeima elections

Environmental Protection and Regional Development Minister Kaspars Gerhards (National Alliance) is the only minister who will not run in the 13th Saeima elections on October 6.

Prime Minister Maris Kuciskis is the number one candidate on the Union of Greens and Farmers' ticket for Vidzeme. Economics Minister Arvils Aseradens will be New Unity's top candidate in Kurzeme, Defense Minister Raimonds Bergmanis is second on the Greens/Farmers' ticket for Vidzeme, while Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics tops New Unity's ticket for the Saeima elections in Riga.

Finance Minister Dana Reizniece-Ozola is second on the Greens/Farmers ticket for Riga, and Interior Minister Rihards Kozlovskis is second and Education and Science Minister Karlis Sadurskis third on New Unity's ticket for Riga.

Culture Minister Dace Melbarde is the top candidate on the National Alliance's ticket for Riga, and Welfare Minister Janis Reirs - on New Unity's ticket for Zemgale. Transport Minister Uldis Augulis is second and Health Minister Anda Caksa third on the Greens/Farmers' ticket for Zemgale.

Finally, Justice Minister Dzintars Rasnacs is fifth on the National Alliance's ticket for Riga, while Agriculture Minister Janis Duklavs tops the Greens/Farmers' ticket for Latgale.
