Harmony has declared €184,663 as its campaign expenses, with slightly over half of this sum has been paid for TV advertisements.
Development/For! has declared €147,446, mostly for advertisements in the press and on the radio, and Latvia’s Russian Union has declared €110,322, mostly on outdoor advertising and radio.
New Unity trails with €48,929 spent on their election campaign, the National Alliance follows with €46,429, the Progressives with €40,508, the Union of Greens and Farmers with €35,661 and the New Conservative Party (JKP) with €18,0259.
All other political parties have spent less than €10,000 on their EP election campaigns.
The campaigning period ahead of the European Parliament elections officially started on January 26.
Parties and electoral alliances that have registered their candidates for the elections can each spend up to EUR 430,221 on their campaigns.
Latvia, which has to elect eight lawmakers to the EU legislature, will hold the European Parliament elections on May 25.
