During the pre-election campaign period, a limit of financial resources has been set for each political force to be used for political advertising, charity, sponsorship, benefits and gifts. The spending limits do not apply to expenditure on making an ad or planning a campaign. The expenses of the pre-election campaign shall include both the total and individual expenses of the party's candidates.
As reported earlier, each of the 19 lists of parliamentary candidates submitted for elections may spend a maximum of €708 thousand on campaign costs.
According to KNAB's data, more than a third of the limit has so far been used by the United List, Development/For! and Harmony. They are followed by the National Alliance, the Union of Greens and Farmers, 'For Each and Everyone' each of which has spent more than €100,000.
Meanwhile, five parties have not shown spending yet. Declaring the campaign expenses to KNAB is mandatory.
