Dombrovskis could be EU Commissioner for Economy again

The President of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen, on Tuesday outlined the possible distribution of posts in the next EC on her X account.

Latvia's nominee Valdis Dombrovskis could be appointed EU Commissioner for the Economy and Productivity.

In the previous EC, Dombrovskis was also responsible for the economic affairs, but in addition, he was also one of the EC's vice-presidents.

All Commissioners-designate will still have to pass a vote of confidence in the European Parliament.
