The Finance Minister believes that Latvia won't feel the negative effects, instead they'll be felt by the Greek society at large.
By saying "No" to the demands of the lenders, Greece has voted against international help, as no country has any money to give to Greece for free. That's why, according to Reirs, Greeks have rejected the creditors' money.
He said that this will be known as an example of how "a country that had been on the right path can be destroyed by voting, by democratic means."
Reirs said that a humanitarian crisis could occur in Greece. He said that the country has gone on the path to a catastrophe.
He also said that the only way out of this situation is a Grexit - a return to a national currency.
