Make Covid rules simpler, says PM Kariņš

Take note – story published 2 years ago

Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš through a resolution on September 15 has ordered the Ministry of Health to submit revised and simplified epidemiological safety rules to the government within two weeks.

Kariņš wants the rules to be easily understood by everyone in the country. The Ministry should avoid technical and detailed epidemiological safety requirements in government regulations as far as possible.

The resolution points out that the Ministry of Health's information report on Latvia's Covid-19 strategy for autumn 2021, which was examined by the government in July this year, aims to improve the regulation of epidemiological security measures by developing standards that are understandable and easy to implement between sectors.
